
Putting Happiness is something to practice, something to stick with until it is a mindset!
For a week, up to a week and a half, I listened to the program called Happiness For No Reason. The reason I did this was to get the concepts into my long-term memory. The concepts discussed were something I could identify, and connect with. There were discussions other than happiness, such as forgiveness, and gratitude, how the mind, body, and heart are stimulated by emotions, and how it can recall these chemically leaving us stuck in an unhappy state of mind! However, we can change this! This worked for me.
I think I am at week four since I began this path. I am feeling really great from the beginning to the end of my days. I feel joy rather than as if I have a grey cloud over me or anxiety in the pit of my stomach. I can call these things up but when I simply smile at nothing, which I find myself doing during the day, For no apparent reason. I put on peppy music.
I find one thing that brings me down is NOT TAKING ACTION! It bothers me that I have not accomplished something! Well? Doing even one thing can shake this mood! We need to feel good about what we have accomplished!
I am getting up and dressing really nice for no one but myself! This also makes us feel good.
I am finding that I am getting more done in the house and so now I am prompted to get out of it! There is yard work that can be done as there is no snow here in RI. At this time anyway! Upcountry, Maine? Tons of it or at least enough! One thing I can do is get out and explore where I am at! I have not done that! I have a car! I have a GPS! It will be a part of things!
I can also begin work on the manual. Or do some artwork, and of course, continue research. The point is these things will go forward in better ways because my mind is not full of the things that bring me down. It’s not so hard to clear my mind when I maintain my happy mindset. I love finding the happiness triggers! I can watch Happiness For No Reason. Other programs that are similar. I can put on fun music. Listen to audible books as I do something that moves me forward. I can reach out to people! A habit of mine has been to fill my day with art or writing, the housework. Thomas and I were happy as clams, contained. However! Poof, and he was gone! So now it’s up to me to seek others. Waiting for others to come into my day creates a less interesting day, a lonely day to be honest. I need my work day but that’s now all day long! There is time in the day to reach out. Not just on social media. I find it is something to work on, to make time for. Not good at it. But I do know it is important. A start is to let others know you’re available! “Give me a call sometime is something that welcomes that train of thought!” Friends mean happiness! It is important to make life fun and interesting! DON’T WAIT FOR IT GET INVOLVED IN IT! Make a plan. It’s a path.
