Good Morning Sunshine! In the studio!

Since 2011 I have been what I call a Shibuiest. I began to develop my art form in 2011.

My name is Pamela, but I have been P.J. then Pejj for years now. (Grammie too!)

Shibui Found Image Art begins with action art and then becomes found Image Art. It is a problem-solving creative process. It is not all I do, I write poetry and have children’s book projects.

What else I Do?

Experience: My degree is an BFA In fine arts, the original goal an MA in Art Therapy, core work experienced. 4 classes and residency left. Additon to these classes that aid in knowing the clients abilities and needs as a part of developing Shibui Found Image Art for their needs and for the needs of art therapists. Research in neurobiology, the processes of art therarpy are a part of the development. I am currently writing an instructional book about Shibui Found Image Art. I instruction Shibui in a control group. since the passing of my husband much has been on hold, for me to pivot and redirect energies with in the group.

I created a parenting support group for abused women, called the Parenting Connection This was different than most at the time because it offered childcare, professionals from our local area were bought in to discuss topics clients were interested in. For example, someone who could talk about child development and a dentist. A professional counselor ran the support sessions for me. I was the developer of the group. As a result, I was given a certificate of recognition by Parents Anonymous and invited to sit on The Penquis Abuse Counsel with professionals in the community at this time.
