Good Evening! Moonshine!

A bit of my nastagia____I worked for Bert and Roxanne for a short while, friend Hildi Benchymer told me I could work from home, be trained to roll bee’s wax candles! So I did hooking a ride with her to Guildford. I lived near Dexter. Maine at the time. Later when I did work-study for the Northern New England Trade Show I would learn he had gone through the Small Business Development Center. They do the shows every March. He certainly made it big! Then they sold it. But it still continues on! Quite the legacy. I recall the buildings that we went into to drop the candles off were old outbuildings.
What little I knew of Bert was that he was quite the character. I had heard rumors that if he knew you, and if your front door was not locked he would come in and make himself coffee and then leave. I thought surely not! But then he did it one day to me! LOL I would have loved having a cup with him. I saw his cup on the table and him walking out the drive. Otherwise, I would have been wondering about that cup for a long time! He was a friend with my neighbor Nancy I believe because Nancy and Hildi were friends. And they talked about him and Roxanne. He could be seen biking or walking places. I had heard him in conversations a couple times and the man was very smart! He was thought to be eccentric. I think he liked to keep the people he deemed as fools guessing! This documentary is good and I think you can find it on YouTube.

It is not morning as I write, it’s that early evening winter darkness. Messes all of us up! In time the days will start getting longer though.

My blog, my break. Today I ran errands. I like shopping online and simply picking up the order at the store. It saves time. I am more selective and am trying things I might not otherwise try. I see more, and different products that I have overlooked. I like being able to discern what I get. See the total, and if I don’t need something I can keep the prices where I want them to be. No surprises at the checkout. I am saving money shopping this way. I do like being frugal so there is money enough for healthy choices.

I love tips if you wish to share them. One tip I have is that the “Alba Botanica Hawaiian 3-in-one clean towelettes, pore purifying pineapple enzyme, hypo-allergenic” (wipes) make brown spots and the allergy eye brown skin under the eyes much lighter. I had simply bought them for washing my face. However over time, I notices that my skin looked better, and the darker skin under my eyes and the brown spots were lighter. So I looked it up and discovered that pineapple enzymes will do just that! So since they are still wet, I wiped my arms as well, and a dark patch on my right leg where the skin had darkened from a skin fungus. That too is lighter. So now my skincare regime is to use these wipes and use a face cream called “Dab for Youthfulness” Dermal Dab. I like to avoid foundation.

I often think of the guys out there! We women get dry skin on our faces. I hope there is something for the guys too. I think there are these days. My dad was an Aqua Velva Man. I think about his putting that on his skin___he smelled great but gee I bet it dried the skin out.

Any way I sound like I a plugging product tonight. LOL

I live in Southern Maine. I am the owner of Anisette Studios. My website is https://www.anisettestudios.com/ Here you can view and purchase Shibui, sign up for my newsletters, blog, and read articles about Shibui Found Image Art. Patrons get great deals several times a year and special items at times. My site makes it easy to contact me. My primary art form is Shibui Found Image Art. Shibui begins with action art and stems from the imagination. It is like seeing something in the clouds or solving a puzzle. Its creative process has its own rules and requires what I call reverse engineering due to a lack of an understructure and purely out of the imagination. In addition to those who patron me, my target groups are those who use art therapy. I will soon be teaching live. Contact me if you would like to learn live. I use Zoom. I request that although my art, other images, and what I write is now published by me here on WordPress; I do ask you do not to use my artwork, poetry, or the information about Shibui Found Image Art without my permission. I am quite available to make such requests. I wish to share the following: The existentialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir wrote a book called The Ethics of Ambiguity. In it, she lays out a guiding ethic in response to the philosophy of existentialism. It might be somewhat familiar to you already. She writes, “To will oneself free is also to will others free. This will is not an abstract formula. It points out to each person concrete action to be achieved.” Best wishes to all! Have good times and keep safe! Pejj
