Coffee at the right! It is a bright sunny day! Are we heading into March with fair weather? Wishful thinking! I’ll be practical and take one day at a time.
I am back to myself, and Alexander. I will begin pulling the writing of the Shibui Manual together this week. The writer coaching me has given me an outline to guide me.
I woke up last night with an idea on how to write the section on the mind and creativity, came out entered it.
Finding info about the mind and creativity for my purposes has been a challenge. So far what I find is that there are few if any studies about how the mind works during creativity. Therefore there are no concrete references.
My goal has been to find supportive neuroscience or psychology that supports the mind/brain connection to creativity. I wanted to learn more about the mechanics of how the brain generates and applies creative ideas during the creative process. However, it feels like finding a needle in a haystack to find specific data via neuroscience or psychology.
More to the point, I can’t let allow a lack of information to stop up writing the instructional manual. I can write about personal responses to the creative process and continue to research how the mind problem solves and uses its stored information later. I had hoped Arne Dietrich’s book How Creativity Happens In The Brain would help. But it’s a difficult read thus far. This part of things will become secondary at this point.
