Sunday! All-day long! A day of rest, relaxation, and fun? May this be true for all of you! For me? A day to catch up on some things. And a day to read or listen to books. Do a bit of cooking, I am thinking muffins. Fill the dishwasher, throw laundry in. Let them do the work. I have put meditation music on to soothe and mellow my soul. The coffee is already gone. And I have touched base with family and friends.
Today’s cards? “The highest state you have ever experienced is simply the result of how open you were. If you don’t close, it can be like that all the time.” #2. “Fortunately, deep within us, there is a direct connection to the Devine.” I turn more towards feeling this connection the older I get. The more I send good intentions out to the whole world. I recognize I am a part of something much bigger.
I am still rattling around the May Sarton poem, Lady With A Falcon. I find myself bringing more into it, having read her books, and I understanding what it is to write poetry; drawing upon one’s own experiences.
Though analyzing a poem means interpretation therefore bringing into the process what you have gleaned elsewhere such as books and bios.
I loved her book Kinds Of Love. The familiarity of knowing such a life, and the kinds of people she writes of. It paid off to be the observer. I think people who love to write are natural observers. I love finding rich relationships. And I love building them.
