Good Morning! Sunshine! Nothing like a bit of Jazz!

Nothing like a cup of coffee to sip away on, and some Jazz! I love it when it is a saxophone, although a piano is typically involved. In town, Portland used to have a little cafe called Cafe No, and it was a delight to go there. Thomas and I would also go to hear live Jazz at the Bridgeway Restaurant where twelve of Thomas’s Lithography Jazz prints were for 10+ years. The son took over the business and changed the look of the restaurant at that time, so the prints came home.

I have unframed lithos to sell as Tom did editions of 50. He did all the old great Jazz musicians.

Today will be a day to write. It’s cold out, at some point I will go out and put the ice melt down. But for now, it is me and my coffee. A bit of chill in the house. One of those days for socks and layering, perhaps lightly.

The research regarding the manual is helping writing productively. I have worked on the right amount of info about action art. Shibui begins through action art, then becomes found image art. Writing about this latter part is the more challenging part of the job. Breaking it down into components, prioritizing the steps, and doing it in a way that defines the process simply is the goal.

Today’s cards? “Who is having these physical, emotional, and mental experiences? Notice who is experiencing the experience. Realize that you, the experiencer, have a certain quality. And that quality is awareness, consciousness, an intuitive sense of existence. You exist regardless, thoughts or no thoughts.” OH! I love this one! Now to keep it in mind. I will set this car out to think about it. Hmmmmmm____! Card #2. The highest state you have ever experienced is simply the result of how open you were. If you don’t close, it can be like that all the time.” Hmmmmmm____. card #3. Simply permit that pain to come into your heart and pass through. If you do that, it will pass. If you are sincerely seeking truth, you’ll let go every time.” Oh! I like this. After Thomas died I read or listen to Michael Singer___he had spoken of having a place in the heart where sadness could be tenderly taken care of. This has helped a great deal. Giving one’s self permission if you will to feel the feelings that come our way.

May your days be happy and joyful! Best wishes! Hugs where they are needed Pejj

I live in Southern Maine. I am the owner of Anisette Studios. My website is https://www.anisettestudios.com/ Here you can view and purchase Shibui, sign up for my newsletters, blog, and read articles about Shibui Found Image Art. Patrons get great deals several times a year and special items at times. My site makes it easy to contact me. My primary art form is Shibui Found Image Art. Shibui begins with action art and stems from the imagination. It is like seeing something in the clouds or solving a puzzle. Its creative process has its own rules and requires what I call reverse engineering due to a lack of an understructure and purely out of the imagination. In addition to those who patron me, my target groups are those who use art therapy. I will soon be teaching live. Contact me if you would like to learn live. I use Zoom. I request that although my art, other images, and what I write is now published by me here on WordPress; I do ask you do not to use my artwork, poetry, or the information about Shibui Found Image Art without my permission. I am quite available to make such requests. I wish to share the following: The existentialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir wrote a book called The Ethics of Ambiguity. In it, she lays out a guiding ethic in response to the philosophy of existentialism. It might be somewhat familiar to you already. She writes, “To will oneself free is also to will others free. This will is not an abstract formula. It points out to each person concrete action to be achieved.” Best wishes to all! Have good times and keep safe! Pejj
