Guess who will be coming for Christmas! And who we will go to see! Daniel is now a father! He and Brianna have little Miss Harper now! Mom, here___Jacobie has Alex, Emma, and Oliver Thomas! And so Christmas will be a lot of fun! I have a magical tree! With strings of crystal, burnt orange, and turquoise poinsettias on it, with burnt orange Christmas tree balls. It is beautiful if I do say so myself! I will add the crystal icicles today. Jacobie can add the star when she comes. I will begin cooking a few days before she comes. I am glad to feel the Christmas spirit and surprised too. It feels good to feel ok, without Thomas. I feel I did a good job with my feelings and untangling from Thomas’s death. This is Christmas number two____. I am wondering if he would approve of my tree. I think so____being artists we love color! I think I have found some unique gifts. Merry Christmas! Every One!
I have a small cup of coffee to the right! I can hear cars swishing by, and yet this kind of quiet I marvel at, Aaaaaaaahhhhh_____! The sun is out! My favorite thing to check for each day. Blue skies and sunshine! Coffee and morning meds. The day can begin now but only after I do Merlock the cat. Is there a hole in the bottom of his cat food dish? If so, more cat food. Yup, it’s like a doughnut____smart cat! Is there water? Yes____has he put the black hair elastic in the water dish? Yes! We think he does this to see the bottom. Ice cubes? No, I did not get some for me so he’s good. I get the mail. Alex’s tool kid of screwdrivers etc for his computer has come! Now he can put in the new ??? whatever he said it was. An early Christmas gift from Grammie.
Today it is writing pulling my information together for the instruction manual, in an A to Z outline. The writing begins! I can’t seem to find a worthy template about how to write an instructional manual. So I have decided to look at the book my professor wrote. It is what I have in mind. So? Am I writing an instruction book or a book about Shibui that tells about its process? I think it’s best not to overthink this.

I am quite available to make such requests. I wish to share the following: The existentialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir wrote a book called The Ethics of Ambiguity. In it, she lays out a guiding ethic in response to the philosophy of existentialism. It might be somewhat familiar to you already. She writes, “To will oneself free is also to will others free. This will is not an abstract formula. It points out to each person concrete action to be achieved.”
