Shibui begins with action art and stems from the imagination. It is like seeing something in the clouds or solving a puzzle. I am quite available to make such requests. I wish to share the following: The existentialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir wrote a book called The Ethics of Ambiguity. In it, she lays out a guiding ethic in response to the philosophy of existentialism. It might be somewhat familiar to you already. She writes, “To will oneself free is also to will others free. This will is not an abstract formula. It points out to each person concrete action to be achieved.”

Eric is most certainly a broken doll. Oops never a doll not worthy of that. Neely a lower level demon hoping to claim power. A woman beater, a con man/artist a self sabotager and addict putting on the facade of a “good” guy the “spiritual” guy playing victim after he knows very well he tried to take a life
Nope! It is NOT! Yet he treks around justifying it. Demanding forgiveness without it accountability. All while twisting it around claiming he’s the victim THAT GUY 👆
Thank you! When Thomas and I were at USM together he had made this and other charcoals for a book project I was writing for battered women. A collection of poems that expressed what they went through. The first poem which is being illusive at this time___ was hung for some time at USM with this image. Thomas was given an award for these, and a letter from the school. Tom took me an my china doll to this huge bolder field, spent a long time there taking many photos of the doll. When we went out with our camera it was a guarantee to being somewhere a while.
