Coffee on the right, Hifler to my left! The sun is out! What a lovely day! I opened up “To Everything There is a Season” today and found the following tidbit on the topic of time. I hope your enjoying my going down memory land with Joyce Hifler.
“There is great consolation in knowing that with time all things will be made right. Time is a great healer and must be paid with patience. With time forgiveness becomes more true, and mercifully time aids in forgetting. Time allows the mind to mature, helps it to grow in wisdom, and stabilizes it in difficulty. Time is eternity returning everything to it;s rightful place, giving to those who need it comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging and well being. Time is an educator, teaching those who would learn, and revealing more of life to be learned. To recognize its value is to be steadfast, knowing that with time all things work together for the good of those who wait.”
Waiting for time to pass, having the patience to allow others their learning curve, not always easy. Especially if we are hurt by their words and action. Time, however, involves the making of allowances because real change does not happen until it is understood concretely when there is a need for that change! Some of the impatience stems from an overall sense of time. Our very lives are measured by time, and there is so much we try to fit into a day. Does something have to give? Or is it that something has to change. The question is how? How to make more time in a day? So we have time___time to think and respond and be in the present. If we never examine what we do with time, then nothing changes. We end up with no time to think much less be effective at how we communicate our wants and needs. We also need time to take action with what we want our lives to be.
Best wishes! Have a great day! Pejj Nunes
